In a significant move under the guidance of UAE leadership, Abu Dhabi has announced its third housing assistance package for 2025, amounting to AED4 billion aimed at benefiting 3,310 citizens within the emirate. This initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to bolster family stability, promote home ownership, and elevate living standards for Emiratis, coinciding with the 54th Eid Al Etihad.
The utilization of funds includes AED2.27 billion in housing loans for 1,768 beneficiaries, and AED1.51 billion earmarked for housing grants and ready-built homes. The package also offers loan repayment exemptions for low-income seniors, retirees, and families of deceased beneficiaries. Additionally, participants of the Emirati Family Growth program will benefit from housing loan reductions totaling AED208 million, assisting 204 families.
With this latest financial boost, the total housing assistance allocated to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2025 now stands at AED15.384 billion, aiding 10,718 individuals this year. This sum encompasses AED11.766 billion in housing loans, AED3.1 billion in grants for land and ready homes, alongside AED514.75 million in exemptions and reductions for qualifying families.
Since the inception of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, over 129,448 housing benefits have been disbursed, with an overall worth of around AED177.57 billion. The continuation of these packages highlights the leadership’s ongoing vision to secure dignified, stable, and sustainable living conditions for Emirati families, all while aligning with the emirate's broader development ambitions.
The timing of this latest initiative further underscores its importance on a national scale, resonating with the unity and development celebrated during Eid Al Etihad, and reaffirming the commitment to providing effective housing support to citizens.
