Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk,” has entered into a licensing agreement with Masdar Al Hayat Food Industries, commonly known as Fonte. As a leading bakery manufacturer in Saudi Arabia, this partnership grants Fonte a non-exclusive license to feature characters from Manga’s acclaimed series, Asateer2: Future’s Folktales, on its products.

With this collaboration, Fonte will embed the series’ characters into the marketing, production, and distribution of its bakery goods. The characters will be displayed on product packaging, fostering a connection with consumers while enriching local offerings. This initiative is aimed at amplifying audience engagement and elevating Saudi creative content in everyday experiences.

Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, conveyed his enthusiasm about the alliance, stating that partnering with trusted local brand Fonte will bring Manga content closer to families in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that showcasing Asateer2: Future’s Folktales characters on various products enhances consumer experience and broadens the local and regional reach of Saudi creative content.

This licensing deal is a pillar of Manga Productions’ strategy to propagate Saudi creative content across multiple commercial sectors. By working with local brands such as Fonte, Manga Productions fosters the growth of content creation in Saudi Arabia and offers consumers a diverse range of engaging experiences that deepen their connection to Saudi storytelling.

Asateer2: Future’s Folktales has achieved remarkable international acclaim, being aired on five continents and available on eight streaming platforms. The series has attracted over 150 million views, showcasing Saudi creative prowess to global audiences. It also won the award for Best Media and Communication Campaign at the Saudi Media Forum.

This partnership not only enriches the consumer experience but also aids Saudi brands in infusing cultural and creative elements into their offerings. It represents progress in promoting local talent and innovation within the country’s creative industries. The collaboration illustrates how storytelling can be interwoven with consumer products to forge significant cultural engagement and awareness.

By collaborating with Fonte, Manga Productions reinforces the significance of Saudi creative content in daily life. This licensing agreement signifies the rising impact of local storytelling and media in commercial products, facilitating a closer bond between Saudi narratives and audiences, thereby reinforcing the nation’s cultural influence in regional markets.
