The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has welcomed the launch of PropTech Connect Middle East's newest office, marking a significant stride for the emirate in the realm of real estate technology, following support from the Dubai Land Department (DLD).
This development succeeds the successful PropTech Connect Middle East event held in February, which attracted more than 3,000 attendees and over 300 speakers, establishing Dubai as a central hub for merging property technology and innovation.
The DIFC office underscores Dubai’s persistent ambition to cultivate a robust proptech ecosystem that fosters synergy among developers, investors, regulators, and tech firms. With a commercial licence from DIFC, it aims to bolster the presence of proptech companies in the region.
According to the Dubai Land Department, the new office symbolizes growing global confidence in Dubai's regulatory landscape and investment climate. The DLD's efforts are focused on crafting an adaptable, innovation-friendly environment that attracts global business and facilitates sustainable growth in real estate.
Mohammed Ali Al Badwawi, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at DLD, emphasized that Dubai is fortifying its leadership in proptech by blending innovation, effective partnerships, and forward-thinking regulations. He noted that the inaugural PropTech Connect Middle East event has unlocked new avenues for collaboration in real estate innovation.
Matthew Maltzoff, CEO and Co-Founder of PropTech Connect, stated that the decision to establish in Dubai stems from its unambiguous development vision, supportive regulations, and vigorous innovation ecosystem, making it prime for expansion in the Middle East.
This announcement aligns with the recently held PropTech Elevate x REES event at the DIFC Innovation Hub, brought forth by the Dubai PropTech Hub and Dubai Land Department, which convened government officials and industry leaders to explore innovative solutions and trends for real estate transformation.
Mohammad AlBlooshi, CEO of DIFC Innovation Hub, asserted that PropTech Connect's establishment in DIFC will enhance collaboration among investors, innovators, and real estate leaders throughout the UAE and beyond. Events like PropTech Elevate x REES align sector priorities and advocate for innovation.
Organizers revealed that plans for the 2027 edition of PropTech Connect Middle East in Dubai are already in motion, anticipating over 4,000 attendees and 2,000 proptech companies, further solidifying Dubai's role as a pivotal platform for property technology and investment.
This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, both prioritizing innovation and digital transformation in future sector growth.
