Turkmenistan's President Evaluates Agricultural Progress

Post by : Shakul

In a recent digital meeting, Turkmenistan's President, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, convened with Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyev and regional governors to assess the state of agricultural efforts and regional development initiatives across Turkmenistan.

During the session, regional leaders discussed updates on key agricultural operations, covering wheat planting, cotton sowing, and vegetable cultivation. Highlights included advancements in fertilizer application, irrigation strategies, and the deployment of cutting-edge farming equipment to enhance productivity.

The President underscored the necessity of timely cotton sowing and meticulous attention to wheat and other spring crop management, adhering to established agricultural practices. He emphasized that strict compliance with agrotechnical standards is crucial for optimizing yields.

Regional officials also detailed progress in cocoon production and the measures implemented to ensure a steady supply of raw materials for the textile sector, along with initiatives aimed at boosting local vegetable and food production.

The discussion further included fire prevention strategies, given the escalating temperatures and the increased risk of wildfires threatening pastures, forests, and agricultural zones. The President urged officials to implement rigorous safety protocols to safeguard these vital resources.

Additionally, an overview of ongoing construction projects under the National Rural Development Program was presented, aimed at enhancing cultural, social, and industrial infrastructure to elevate living standards and stimulate regional economies.

In concluding the meeting, the President highlighted the importance of innovation, effective resource utilization, and ongoing monitoring of agricultural activities, calling for collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable growth and successfully fulfill national economic objectives.
