Acclaimed musician Raghu Dixit has recently wed his partner, the celebrated flutist Varijashree Venugopal, aged 34. Their marriage took place on October 14, 2025, in a private ceremony, with photos rapidly spreading across social media platforms.
On October 25, Raghu posted a heartfelt image of the couple on Instagram, stating, “To Joy and Togetherness! Feeling grateful to embark on this new journey with the support of our families and loved ones. Love and Light Vari & Ragh.”
The pair's journey began as friends, evolving into a deep love that culminated in their wedding.
The ceremony was attended by numerous celebrities, including actress Yamuna Srinidhi, who shared moments from the celebration online. Raghu appeared stylish in a yellow-toned vesthi with maroon borders, whereas Varijashree dazzled in an orange saree complemented by a blue blouse and traditional wedding ornaments. The couple was seen engaging in wedding rituals, radiating happiness and affection, with notable attendees like Ayyo Shraddha and close friends also present.
Earlier in February 2025, Raghu had honored Varijashree in a social media post, celebrating her Grammy nomination and reflecting on their strong friendship.
Previously, Raghu was married to choreographer and dancer Mayuri Upadhyay in 2005. They began living apart in 2016, with their divorce finalized in 2019. Although the reasons for their separation remain private, Raghu has indicated that he struggled to fulfill his role as a husband despite Mayuri’s unwavering support.
During this time, after allegations of sexual harassment emerged against him from Chinmayi Sripada, Mayuri clarified that this issue was unrelated to their divorce and called for serious repercussions. Raghu himself remarked, “I am divorcing my wife. We have not been together for the past three years, and we are in the final stage of the divorce process. She’s a good wife, and I couldn’t be a good husband.”
