Rakul Preet Singh Refutes Plastic Surgery Allegations

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

Bollywood star Rakul Preet Singh has recently countered inaccurate accusations from an individual impersonating a medical professional who claimed she had plastic surgery. Known for her fitness and captivating presence, Rakul became a target of online gossip after the self-proclaimed cosmetic surgeon released a video juxtaposing her earlier and current photos. In this video, he implied that Rakul had undergone Botox, fillers, and rhinoplasty, criticizing her for not admitting to any cosmetic enhancements while promoting fitness, which he argued set unrealistic expectations for her fans.

Responding decisively, Rakul took to Instagram to clarify her stance, urging her followers to be cautious about false information from dubious sources. She stated, “Fraud alert: it’s alarming that individuals like him are masquerading as medical professionals, making unfounded assertions and misleading the public.” While she respects personal choices surrounding cosmetic procedures, she stressed that perpetuating baseless rumors under scientific pretenses is unacceptable.

Rakul clarified that her physical transformation stems from dedicated fitness efforts and not surgical enhancements. She remarked, “As an actor familiar with both traditional and modern science, I have no qualms about those who opt for surgery, but there’s also hard work leading to weight loss. Have you ever considered that?” She advised her followers to “stay alert to such false ‘doctors’” and not believe unfounded claims.

The actress is receiving accolades for her recent role in De De Pyaar De 2, where she shared the screen with R. Madhavan, Ajay Devgn, and Meezaan Jaffri. The film grossed over ₹111 crore worldwide and garnered attention for her performance. Rakul is now gearing up for upcoming projects like Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, directed by Mudassar Aziz and featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi, set for a March 2026 release. She is also involved in the eagerly awaited film Indian 3.

Rakul Preet Singh’s prompt reaction not only countered the falsehoods but also highlighted the significant pressures celebrities endure concerning body image and public perception. By emphasizing her dedication to fitness and personal effort in maintaining her appearance, she inspired her fans to appreciate discipline and healthy choices while remaining wary of dubious medical claims swirling online.

This incident has ignited conversations about online bullying, celebrity body shaming, and the accountability of social media users regarding the accuracy of information, marking Rakul’s response as a crucial step in promoting awareness and responsibility.
