Rolling Loud India Launches with an Unforgettable Hip-Hop Lineup

Post by : Meena Hassan

The much-anticipated Rolling Loud festival made its Indian debut on Saturday in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, showcasing a staggering lineup of Hip-Hop talent across two dynamic stages, ensuring fans were constantly entertained.

Kicking off Day one was a fusion of both local and international artists, which began on an unexpected note. Singer-songwriter Allyn from Los Angeles had to withdraw from her performance due to a foot injury but pledged to return on day two in a wheelchair.

The crowd was captivated by India’s first all-women Hip-Hop group, Wild Wild Women, as they impressed with their dynamic outfits and electrifying acts. American star Dababy brought excitement with his clever lyrics and playful antics, splashing water onto fans during his show.

Swae Lee shone brightly, performing crowd favorites like Sunflower and Unforgettable. He charmed the audience with a surprise announcement about new material set for release in January alongside his famous Manequin Challenge.

Local artist Hanumankind, fresh from knee surgery, energized the festival-goers with tracks like Police at the Door. He was joined on stage by dance group Kings United, whose movements added an extra layer of excitement to the performance.

Wiz Khalifa led the audience through an emotional rollercoaster with classics like Young Wild and Free, culminating his set with a moving tribute to late artists, displaying their images and names on a large screen during See You Again.

The evening wrapped up with a striking performance from British rapper Central Cee, who presented Truth in the Lies while donning a shirt emblazoned with Lord Shiva. A light-hearted clip of him playing cricket before going on stage has already gone viral.

The debut of Rolling Loud India left fans buzzing, marrying thrilling performances with star-studded appearances and memorable moments, setting a high bar for day two of the festival.
