Sachin Chandwade, Jamtara 2 Actor, Dies in Reported Suicide at 25

Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, who featured in the Netflix series Jamtara 2, has died in an apparent suicide at the age of 25. He was discovered hanging at his residence in Parola, Jalgaon district; Chandwade had recently been promoting his upcoming Marathi film Asurvan.

Reports state family members found him on October 23 and he was taken to a local hospital. He was later moved to Dhule for further treatment but was declared dead around 1:30 AM on October 24. The Parola police have registered a case of accidental death and investigations are underway to clarify the circumstances.

Chandwade had combined his acting work with a job as a software engineer at an IT park in Pune. Colleagues and acquaintances recall him as humble and committed, and his passing has drawn condolences from both Marathi and Hindi film communities.

Just days before his death, Chandwade posted the motion poster for Asurvan on Instagram, expressing anticipation for the release. The film, directed by Sachin Ramchandra Ambat, also stars Pooja Moily and Anuj Thakare.

His sudden death has renewed public discussion about mental health challenges within the entertainment sector and the pressures faced by young performers.

Tributes from peers and fans continue to arrive as the industry reflects on the loss of a young actor whose career showed promise.
