Iconic comedian and actor Satish Shah has left us at the age of 74 due to complications from kidney failure. He passed away in Hinduja Hospital, where his passing has triggered an outpouring of grief from fans and fellow artists.
Born in 1951 in Bombay State to a Gujarati family, Shah embarked on his acting journey in the 1970s, soaring to fame in 1984 with the sitcom Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, where he displayed immense talent by portraying 55 different characters. His remarkable work continued in shows like Filmi Chakkar and Ghar Jamai, and he became particularly adored as Indravadan Sarabhai in the cherished series Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004-06).
His film career also shone brightly, starting with Bhagwan Parshuram (1970) and later featuring in critically acclaimed films such as Umrao Jaan, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai, and the cult favorite Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, all of which showcased his extraordinary comedic flair. He gained affection in the 1990s and 2000s during his appearances in hit movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hero No. 1, Main Hoon Na, and Fanaa, with his final film role in Humshakals (2014).
