RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched towards the Kingdom's southern region, the Saudi Defense Ministry announced on Monday, November 2, 2026.

According to the Saudi Defense Ministry, the ballistic missile was launched by Yemen's Houthi militia towards southern Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom's air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed the missile before it could reach its intended destination.

Civil Defense Lifts Precautionary Alerts in Four Cities

Earlier, Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense announced the lifting of precautionary warning alerts in four cities after an aerial threat had passed. The affected locations were Taif, Abha, Najran and Khamis Mushait.
