The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) successfully concluded its voluntary medical project for prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation in Hatay Province, Türkiye. The initiative, held from October 5 to 12, 2025, aimed to assist earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria. This project reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian support and disaster relief.
Participation of Skilled Medical Volunteers
Fifteen volunteers from various medical specialties took part in the project, providing hands-on care and rehabilitation services. These experts worked together to ensure that affected individuals received proper prosthetic fittings and physical therapy, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Focus on Prosthetic Limb Services
The project primarily focused on the provision of prosthetic limbs for those who lost limbs due to the earthquake. Volunteers conducted assessments, fitted prosthetics, and guided patients through the initial stages of rehabilitation. Their work was essential in restoring independence to many victims and reducing the long-term physical challenges caused by the disaster.
Part of the Saudi Hayat Volunteer Project
This medical initiative is part of the larger Saudi Hayat Volunteer Project, which aims to provide support and assistance to victims of natural disasters and crises. The project mobilizes skilled professionals to deliver targeted aid and demonstrates the Kingdom’s dedication to humanitarian volunteerism.
Strengthening International Humanitarian Efforts

The Kingdom continues to support countries affected by crises through medical, logistical, and relief projects. By sending volunteers and medical supplies, Saudi Arabia plays a significant role in promoting recovery and resilience in affected communities.
Commitment to Crisis Response and Relief
The completion of the project highlights the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to crisis response and humanitarian support. KSrelief continues to prioritize interventions that improve health outcomes and provide essential services to those affected by disasters.
Future Initiatives and Volunteer Engagement
Following this project, KSrelief plans to continue engaging medical volunteers for similar initiatives globally. These programs aim to strengthen international partnerships, enhance the capacity of affected regions, and provide sustainable support to vulnerable populations.
The successful completion of the prosthetic limb and rehabilitation project in Hatay Province underscores Saudi Arabia’s proactive role in humanitarian assistance. Through KSrelief and the Saudi Hayat Volunteer Project, the Kingdom continues to provide meaningful aid, restore dignity, and improve the lives of disaster-affected communities in Türkiye, Syria, and beyond.
