The fifth edition of the Sharjah International Summit on Improvement in Education concluded successfully on February 15, 2026, under the patronage and presence of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The summit was organised by the Sharjah Education Academy in collaboration with the Sharjah Private Education Authority and was held at the Academy’s campus in University City under the theme “Collaborating for Impact.”
The summit brought together more than 10,000 education leaders, policymakers, researchers, teachers, and experts from the UAE and around the world. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening the quality, sustainability, and resilience of education systems amid rapid global changes, with a focus on long-term system improvement rather than short-term reforms.
Discussions were structured around three core tracks: strengthening collaboration across the education ecosystem, driving innovation in learning through technology and practice, and promoting inclusion and empowerment for all learners. Key recommendations highlighted the importance of system-wide coherence, ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, data-informed decision-making, and investment in early childhood care and education as a foundation for lifelong learning.
The outcomes of the summit translated the theme “Collaborating for Impact” into practical and actionable strategies that balance innovation with responsibility and ambition with sustainability. These recommendations reinforced Sharjah’s position as a regional leader in educational development and policy innovation. At the conclusion of the event, organisers announced that the sixth edition of the summit will be held on March 27–28, 2027, continuing its mission to advance sustainable education reform through collaboration.
