Sharjah’s artistic and humanitarian spirit takes center stage at Xposure International Photography Festival 2026, where photography becomes a tool for giving.
The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) is hosting the exhibition “From the Lens of the Son of Sharjah”, inviting art collectors, institutions, and individuals to support its humanitarian programs by acquiring the photographs on display.
The exhibition features a curated selection of images captured by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Humanitarian Envoy of TBHF. These photographs, drawn from the book “Traces of Memory, The Son of Sharjah”, document moments from field visits alongside the Foundation’s humanitarian work across multiple countries.
In addition, the exhibition presents “Carrying Home”, another photography book that highlights resilience and daily life in displaced communities, reflecting TBHF’s ongoing commitment to long-term support beyond emergency aid.
Visitors can engage with these images not just as art, but as a means to contribute to humanitarian causes. All proceeds from acquisitions will directly fund TBHF’s programs.
Part of Xposure 2026’s tenth edition, themed “A Decade of Visual Storytelling”, the exhibition emphasizes how photography can build empathy, raise awareness, and inspire action—blending art and humanitarian responsibility in a powerful, meaningful way.
The exhibition runs until 4 February 2026, offering audiences a chance to experience photography as both an artistic and humanitarian journey.
