Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, received a delegation of German intellectual leaders in Riyadh. The meeting highlighted the growing collaboration between global scholars and thinkers on matters of shared interest.

Focus on Intellectual Issues

During the discussions, the German delegation, representing various research institutions and think tanks, addressed a wide range of intellectual issues. They focused particularly on challenges posed by certain extremist ideologies and their impact on societies worldwide.

Discussion on Extremism

The meeting highlighted the negative effects of radical ideas on both local and global communities. Sheikh Al-Issa emphasized the importance of promoting moderate, peaceful, and constructive narratives in countering extremism. The participants exchanged insights on strategies to confront radical thought through education, dialogue, and media awareness.

Reviewing Global Developments

The dialogue also included discussions on major international events and their social, cultural, and political implications. The German intellectuals shared research findings and perspectives on how global developments influence public opinion, social stability, and international cooperation.

Promoting Knowledge and Cooperation

Sheikh Al-Issa underlined the importance of building bridges between scholars across nations. He highlighted the role of intellectual exchange in fostering understanding, combating misinformation, and promoting tolerance among communities. The MWL continues to play a central role in bringing together experts to discuss solutions to pressing global challenges.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue collaboration between the MWL and German research institutions. Both sides expressed interest in organizing joint workshops, seminars, and research projects to address extremism, social challenges, and global developments effectively.

This interaction reflects the MWL’s ongoing efforts to engage international thinkers in constructive dialogue. By promoting knowledge-sharing and cooperation, Sheikh Al-Issa aims to create a global network of intellectual leaders dedicated to peace, moderation, and social harmony.
