His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with the team from Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) at Emirates Towers to review the progress of new education initiatives and their implementation under Dubai's Education 33 Strategy.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed that investing in people remains a long-standing national priority for the UAE, guided by the country's leadership. He said this approach is inspired by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He noted that providing high-quality education continues to be a key national priority and a foundation for human development and lifelong empowerment.
Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai is continuing to build an integrated education system that reflects the UAE's values while preparing talented individuals capable of protecting the nation's achievements and strengthening the emirate's global competitiveness. He added that the education system focuses on developing skills and talent, helping students become academically successful while remaining connected to their national identity, language and culture, and preparing them to compete internationally.
He also praised the efforts of KHDA in improving Dubai's education system and enhancing learning outcomes according to the highest international standards.
Speaking during the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan said: "We want every learner in Dubai to be as exceptional as their nation, distinguished by qualities and skills rooted in a strong Emirati identity, authentic values, and noble principles instilled by our Founding Fathers to empower the people of the UAE with knowledge and strengthen their readiness for the future. Our goal will always be to build a generation equipped with life skills and everything needed to lead the future, enabling them to make a positive impact that serves their community and their nation."

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications; His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai; and Her Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA.
During the presentation, the KHDA team outlined the objectives of its key education initiatives planned for this year. The programmes focus on strengthening Arabic language learning, improving student wellbeing, and helping learners develop life skills and future-ready abilities.
The initiatives are designed to support learners and parents at every stage of education and align with the goals of Dubai's Education 33 Strategy.
Dubai's Education 33 Strategy aims to create a personalised learning journey for every learner, beginning in early childhood and continuing through school, higher education, lifelong learning and beyond.
The strategy reflects Dubai's vision of making lifelong learning a core principle while developing learners who are proud of their national identity, culture and heritage. It also aims to prepare students who are open to the world and able to shape their own learning journeys with flexibility and independence.
