Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with a delegation from the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), led by Chairman Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, to discuss the advancements in Emiratisation and talent development projects in Al Ain Region.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hazza examined the progress of DGE’s Mawaheb Talent Hub in Al Ain, which is dedicated to enhancing the skills of UAE Nationals and boosting their participation in the workforce through collaborations with both public and private sectors.
The talks also emphasized the strides made since the October 2025 forum on “Empowering National Talents in Al Ain.” This initiative aims to create job opportunities for Emiratis that align with their qualifications, skills, and career aspirations while responding to the labour market's demands.
Sheikh Hazza looked into the latest phases of key employment programs intended to equip Emirati youth for upcoming job opportunities. He commended the efforts of DGE and Mawaheb Talent Hub in aiding citizens to adapt to evolving job market requirements.
He reiterated that Emiratisation is a fundamental priority under Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision, highlighting the importance of enhancing the role of national talent in both sectors to foster a knowledge-based, innovative economy.
Moreover, Sheikh Hazza noted the necessity of emphasizing skills related to advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and digital solutions. He pointed out that these sectors are crucial for preparing Emiratis for the future and enhancing the UAE's competitiveness on a global scale.
To further promote community engagement, DGE representatives mentioned organizing 14 open days across Al Ain Region, including locations like Al Shiwayb and Al Qua’a. These initiatives have facilitated better communication with Emirati job seekers, aiding recruitment in various fields.
The delegation also announced plans for the second “Empowering National Talents in Al Ain” forum, expected to occur in the closing quarter of this year.
Last year's forum led to the signing of 17 memoranda of understanding between DGE, represented by Mawaheb Talent Hub, and numerous government, semi-government, and private entities, focusing on job creation in sectors like banking, education, emerging technologies, and customer service.
These agreements also comprised specialized training programs aimed at fostering sustainable employment and enhancing collaboration between public and private organizations in Al Ain Region.
Present at the meeting were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and several officials from DGE and Mawaheb Talent Hub.
