Post by : Bianca Haleem

Islamabad: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, landed in Islamabad on Friday for an official visit, emphasizing the enduring bond between the two nations.

On his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, Sheikh Mohamed was greeted with warmth by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by senior ministers and officials. This reception underscores the robust diplomatic, political, and cultural ties shared by the UAE and Pakistan.

As the presidential aircraft entered Pakistan's skies, it was accompanied by a formation of military jets, symbolizing respect and camaraderie. A formal state reception was conducted, featuring the national anthems of both countries, followed by a 21-gun salute and a salute from an honour guard for the visiting President of the UAE.

Adding cultural significance to the occasion, military and traditional bands performed during the ceremonial welcome. Children waving the flags of both nations along the route highlighted the affection and goodwill that exist between the UAE and Pakistan.

Sheikh Mohamed is accompanied by a prominent delegation, including Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, along with several ministers and officials.

This visit aims to reinforce cooperation in key sectors, such as economic collaboration, development efforts, and maintaining regional stability, building on the solid foundations of trust and support between the UAE and Pakistan.
