His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, received several ambassadors at his office in the Emiri Diwan. The meetings took place in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to building strong and friendly relations with countries across the world. Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Gerard Paul Marie Hubert Steeghs, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Emilio Pin Godos, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain; and Alberto Alejandro Farje, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the UAE.
During the meetings, Sheikh Mohammed and the ambassadors discussed various topics of mutual interest. The discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations between Fujairah and the ambassadors’ respective countries. His Highness emphasised that Fujairah’s open and welcoming environment offers many opportunities for collaboration, especially in areas that support shared economic and cultural goals.
The Crown Prince highlighted Fujairah’s readiness to expand partnerships in trade, investment, education, and culture. He underlined that the emirate plays an important role in supporting the UAE’s national vision of fostering international cooperation and mutual understanding. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his hope that the discussions would lead to practical initiatives that strengthen relations and open new doors for future collaboration.
The ambassadors of the Netherlands, Spain, and Peru expressed their appreciation for the UAE’s remarkable progress and Fujairah’s growing influence as a key economic and cultural hub. They praised the leadership of the UAE for creating an environment that encourages international partnerships and supports long-term sustainable development. The ambassadors also conveyed their countries’ commitment to deepening cooperation with the UAE and contributing to shared goals that benefit both sides.
Ambassador Gerard Paul Marie Hubert Steeghs of the Netherlands expressed his admiration for Fujairah’s progress and its strategic role within the UAE’s development framework. He highlighted the potential for collaboration in renewable energy, trade, and maritime logistics. The ambassador noted that the Netherlands values its strong relationship with the UAE and looks forward to building new partnerships that reflect the growing friendship between the two nations.
Ambassador Emilio Pin Godos of Spain discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation in tourism, education, and cultural exchange. He expressed interest in organising joint initiatives that promote Spanish culture and business opportunities in Fujairah. The ambassador also praised Fujairah’s infrastructure and development projects, noting that they offer a strong foundation for mutual economic growth and investment.
Ambassador Alberto Alejandro Farje of Peru thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the warm welcome and reaffirmed his country’s desire to strengthen economic relations with the UAE. He emphasised that Fujairah’s location and dynamic economy make it an ideal partner for trade, tourism, and investment collaboration. The ambassador also discussed Peru’s interest in developing closer ties in the fields of education and culture to enhance people-to-people connections.
The meetings reflected Fujairah’s growing role in promoting the UAE’s global partnerships. Under the guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the emirate continues to foster a strong diplomatic presence by engaging with countries from different regions. The meetings were attended by Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and other senior officials. The gatherings once again demonstrated Fujairah’s active role in advancing the UAE’s foreign relations and its vision for a more connected and cooperative world.
