Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath Implicated in Baghpat Investment Scandal

Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath Implicated in Baghpat Investment Scandal

Post by : Meena Hassan

A notable fraud case has been launched against Bollywood stars Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society, alongside 22 other individuals. Acting as brand ambassadors, the duo is alleged to have misled local villagers, promising them lucrative returns in exchange for their investments.

Reports indicate that the accused were behind ‘The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited,’ enticing investors with claims that their capital would quickly multiply. Following substantial investments, the organization reportedly vanished abruptly, prompting the filing of several FIRs related to this alleged scam.

The Supreme Court granted Shreyas Talpade temporary protection from arrest last July. Both Talpade and Nath, along with a total of 11 other individuals, were previously named in a comparable multi-level marketing fraud case that occurred in Sonipat, Haryana.

In his upcoming projects, Shreyas Talpade is slated to star in the romantic drama Single Salma alongside Huma Qureshi and Sunny Singh, which premieres on October 31. Alok Nath continues to be a prominent name in Bollywood, famously associated with his memorable ‘Babuji’ roles through the years.
