Oman’s Sultan Haitham Leaves Bahrain After 46th GCC Summit

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman departed from Manama today after completing his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Sultan attended the 46th GCC Summit and the GCC-Italian Summit, which brought together leaders and officials from Gulf Cooperation Council states and partner countries to discuss key regional and international issues.

The departure ceremony took place at Sakhir Airbase, where His Majesty was formally seen off by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of the King of Bahrain. The warm farewell reflected the strong diplomatic relations between Oman and Bahrain, emphasizing the close ties and ongoing cooperation between the Gulf countries.

During the GCC Summit, leaders discussed a wide range of regional issues, including economic cooperation, security coordination, and initiatives to enhance development across the member states. His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik participated actively in the discussions, contributing Oman’s perspective on stability, sustainable growth, and collective efforts for the welfare of GCC citizens.

In addition to the main summit, His Majesty took part in the GCC-Italian Summit, which focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the Gulf states and Italy. The farewell at Sakhir Airbase was attended by high-level officials from Bahrain, symbolizing the friendly relations and respect shared between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
