Sunita Ahuja Criticises Govinda’s Lavish Pujas and Advisers

Post by : Meena Hassan

Outspoken by nature, Sunita Ahuja recently spoke out about her husband Govinda’s expensive religious rituals and the people influencing him. She accused their family priest of encouraging elaborate pujas that can run into lakhs, calling such ceremonies unnecessary.

Sunita argued that genuine devotion is shown through personal faith and acts of kindness rather than pricey rites. She said she prefers giving directly to those in need and believes charity is a truer path to good karma.

On Govinda’s career, Sunita said he intends to produce three films but is being held back by poor guidance and untrustworthy associates. She also expressed frustration with individuals posing as writers who, she feels, lack originality and sincerity.

She added worries about Govinda’s wellbeing, urging him to pay more attention to fitness and skincare as part of his overall health routine.

Sunita claimed some people close to Govinda speak against her, creating misunderstandings in their marriage. The couple, married since 1987, have faced separation rumours recently. Professionally, Govinda has been away from the spotlight since Rangeela Raja (2019), which failed at the box office.
