The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” has announced its support for the employment and career development of 50 Bahraini employees at Havelock One Interiors. This support is provided through Tamkeen’s various employment and training programs.
This move is part of Tamkeen’s 2025 strategy, which focuses on increasing the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, helping them gain the right skills for career growth, and supporting the growth, digitization, and sustainability of businesses. It also aims to strengthen the overall environment around the labor market and the private sector.
Khalid Al Bayat, Chief Growth Officer at Tamkeen, said that Tamkeen has been supporting Bahraini companies like Havelock One since 2018. He noted that this support has helped the company grow and improve its operations, leading to more job and career opportunities for Bahrainis. He reaffirmed Tamkeen’s commitment to building local talent, boosting the private sector, and making Bahrainis the first choice in the job market.
Firas Al Ayed, Group Operations Director at Havelock One, appreciated Tamkeen’s ongoing support since 2018. He said it has played a key role in helping the company expand and enter new markets. This growth has allowed them to hire more Bahrainis and provide clear career paths for them to grow into leadership positions. He proudly highlighted that many Bahrainis now hold leadership roles in the company, proving the success of this partnership in developing national talent.
Havelock One, established in 1998, has become one of the largest interior manufacturers in the Gulf region. The company operates in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, and Qatar, with seven offices and over 1,900 employees across the GCC. Its headquarters and manufacturing facilities are in Askar, Bahrain, covering 520,000 square feet. Over the past 25 years, the company has successfully completed more than 9,000 interior fit-out projects in various sectors, including hospitality, retail, entertainment, commercial, government, residential, and food and beverage.
Tamkeen continues to roll out programs that support the employment and career growth of Bahraini talent. The goal is to make Bahrainis the preferred choice for employment and the private sector the main engine of economic growth in the Kingdom.
