Thamma Approaches ₹100 Crore Milestone on Day 6

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

The horror-comedy film Thamma, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Ayushmann Khurrana, is thriving at the box office. As of day six, its collection reached ₹13 crore, bringing the cumulative total to ₹91.70 crore in India. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, Thamma is emerging as a powerful contender in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that Thamma's weekend box office saw a notable increase following a minor dip during the weekdays. The film achieved a 23.19% occupancy rate in Hindi on Sunday, indicating robust audience engagement. Its distinctive mix of supernatural elements, emotional depth, and humor keeps audiences coming back, ensuring consistent box office performance across theatres nationwide.

Thamma's earnings have already overtaken the lifetime revenue of Varun Dhawan's Bhediya (₹68.99 crore) and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (₹60.35 crore). On its fifth day alone, Thamma grossed ₹13.1 crore, a substantial 31% increase compared to Friday’s ₹10 crore, which showcases the growing word-of-mouth buzz among viewers.

On a global scale, Thamma has surpassed the ₹100 crore threshold within just five days of its release, underlining its success in both domestic and international markets. Its broad appeal, surprising cameo roles, and standout performances by Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Ayushmann Khurrana have made it a must-see.

Set within a backdrop of a tumultuous love narrative, Thamma is the fifth entry in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, following outings like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2. With a captivating blend of horror, comedy, and heartfelt storytelling, Thamma continues to lead the box office charts and is on track to join the ranks of Bollywood's monumental successes of 2025.
