Maddock Films' latest horror-comedy, Thamma, is making waves at the box office. In just three days following its release, the film has surpassed the ₹50 crore mark, showcasing the audience's ongoing enthusiasm for the genre.
On its opening day, Thamma garnered an impressive ₹24 crore, making it the second-highest opener in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), trailing only behind Stree 2.
Even with a minor dip after the festive rush, Thamma has sustained its momentum, adding ₹12.50 crore on Thursday and bringing its total to ₹55.10 crore.
This impressive performance has broken records for Ayushmann Khurrana, outpacing the opening of his recent hit Dream Girl 2 (₹10.69 crore) and marking his largest box office debut to date—signifying a triumphant return for the actor in the comedy-horror genre.

Trade analysts commend the film's steady performance, noting that it appeals to families even after the festive period.
Evening and night show metrics indicate robust attendance, helping the film maintain a strong presence in key markets.
