Thamma's Horror-Comedy Now Live on Prime Video

Thamma, a wildly anticipated horror-comedy featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video globally. This film has already generated buzz at the box office, harmonizing supernatural elements with humor, romance, and drama, resulting in a uniquely entertaining cinematic experience.

Set in a fantastical and visually captivating landscape, the narrative follows Alok (Ayushmann), who stands as humanity’s last hope, and Tadaka (Rashmika), a mystical entity maneuvering through a world veiled in darkness. Together, they face Yakshasan (Nawazuddin), a powerful ruler threatening to plunge the world into perpetual gloom. The film adeptly balances supernatural fright with light-hearted humor and genuine emotion, appealing to a wide array of viewers.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik of Maddock Films and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma is scripted by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara, and Suresh Mathew. In addition to the lead cast, the film also features prominent actors Paresh Rawal and Faisal Malik, along with cameo appearances by celebrated stars like Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee, Nora Fatehi, and Malaika Arora, enhancing the film's intrigue.

Critics have commended Thamma for its distinctive storytelling, blending horror, fantasy, comedy, and romance with finesse. The film's visual effects, along with its production design and score, immerse viewers in a captivating experience from beginning to end.

Regarding the film's release, Ayushmann Khurrana commented, “Thamma merges horror, humor, romance, and a touching narrative in a way that is truly unique. I’m excited for global audiences to enjoy it. It’s a fresh cinematic venture, and I hope viewers love it as much as we loved creating it.” Rashmika Mandanna expressed, “Filming a supernatural comedy like Thamma was an amazing journey. With its worldwide streaming launch on Amazon Prime Video, Thamma is set to engage a diverse audience, offering a captivating mix of thrills, laughter, and emotion that distinguishes it within the horror-comedy genre.
