UAE to Join EDEX 2025 With Major Defence Industry Showcase

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The United Arab Emirates has confirmed its participation in the fourth edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) 2025, which will take place from December 1 to 4, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo. The UAE will take part with a large national pavilion that will present some of the country’s most advanced land, sea, and air defence technologies to international visitors. EDEX is one of the biggest defence exhibitions in the Middle East and North Africa region, and the UAE’s participation highlights its growing leadership in the global defence industry.

The UAE pavilion will feature a group of leading national defence companies known for their innovation and strong capabilities. These companies aim to expand their strategic partnerships, strengthen commercial relations, and increase their presence in regional and global markets. By taking part in EDEX 2025, they plan to promote their latest systems, technologies, and solutions to defence professionals from around the world.

Several major UAE companies and entities will be represented at the pavilion. These include the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, AMMROC, and Al Jundi magazine. Each company will display its newest defence products, advanced technologies, and specialised services. Through the event, they will also connect with global manufacturers and industry leaders while exploring new business opportunities.

The UAE’s participation reflects its ongoing efforts to support innovation, develop national capabilities, and expand the local defence ecosystem. The presence of national companies at the pavilion also aligns with the UAE’s strategy to build strong international partnerships that encourage knowledge transfer and help localise peaceful defence technologies. This strategy contributes to strengthening national security and supporting long-term economic growth.

In addition to showcasing technologies, the UAE pavilion will also promote major national defence events scheduled for the coming years. These include the 2026 editions of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX). The pavilion will also highlight the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR), as well as the 2027 editions of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX). These events attract global attention and reinforce the UAE’s position as a key hub for security innovation.

EDEX 2025 will host major international defence and security companies from different parts of the world. Exhibitors will present their latest defence systems and advanced security technologies. The event will also provide a platform for discussing cooperation opportunities, exchanging expertise, and exploring the future of modern defence solutions.

Capital 360 Event Experiences, part of ADNEC Group, is responsible for organising the UAE pavilion. This participation is part of a wider international programme, as the UAE pavilion will also appear at several global exhibitions in 2026. These include the World Defence Show in Riyadh, Defence Services Asia in Kuala Lumpur, SAHA Expo in Istanbul, the Egypt Airshow in El Alamein, SOFEX in Jordan, China Airshow in China, the Marrakech Airshow in Morocco, and the Bahrain International Airshow.

Visitors, international delegations, military personnel, and decision-makers attending EDEX 2025 will have the opportunity to explore the UAE pavilion and learn about the latest technologies offered by UAE companies. They will also be able to meet with defence experts, discuss cooperation possibilities, and explore new ways to enhance the global defence sector. Through its participation, the UAE continues to show its commitment to strengthening global defence cooperation and supporting the growth of advanced military technology.
