The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its sixth humanitarian aid shipment to Afghanistan, reinforcing its commitment to assist communities impacted by recent earthquakes.
This latest delivery elevates the total UAE aid to Afghanistan to over 250.3 tonnes, facilitated by seven aircraft and 21 relief trucks. The shipment comprises 6,696 food baskets, 1,030 tents, 850 blankets, and a substantial 28-tonne batch of dates designated for distribution among the affected populace.
In the Samangan province, the UAE effectively distributed 1,188 food baskets, 450 tents, and 850 blankets, providing essential relief to those who have lost their homes and sources of income due to the devastating events. Additionally, a seventh aircraft has arrived, bringing further supplies of dates to aid in recovery efforts.
These humanitarian efforts occur under the guidance of the UAE’s leadership, underlining the nation's persistent dedication to supporting communities impacted by natural disasters around the globe. The UAE is a leader in international humanitarian response, ensuring timely assistance and logistical help in critical situations.
