A high-level government delegation from the Republic of Belarus visited the United Arab Emirates under the initiatives of the Government Experience Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. The visit aimed to explore the UAE Government’s pioneering models and best practices in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and next-generation government services.
Organised as part of the UAE Government’s ongoing efforts to foster international knowledge exchange, the visit focused on creating government-to-government collaborations. The Belarusian delegation examined UAE initiatives designed to accelerate transformation, improve efficiency, and deliver citizen-centred services.
The Belarusian delegation included key officials such as Yulia Shapkina, Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatisation; Sergey Rudnev, First Deputy Director General at the Analytical Centre; Andrei Filipovich, Head of Information Protection; Siarhei Belikov, Deputy Director of the Digital Development Center; Natalia Kushina, Deputy Director of the Digital Transformation Agency; Maria Kalantai, Senior Adviser; and Natalia Kupitayenko, Head of IT at the State Customs Committee.
During their visit, the Belarusian delegation held meetings with senior UAE government officials. These discussions explored the expansion of partnerships in experience exchange, focusing on areas of mutual interest such as AI, digital government solutions, and public service innovation.
The delegation visited several UAE public and private entities, including Government Accelerators and 42 Abu Dhabi Academy, to examine successful models and innovative projects. They also engaged with Emirati experts specialised in various government sectors, gaining insights into effective digital solutions and citizen-focused services.
Discussions highlighted the importance of developing national capacities in digital skills and future education. Both sides explored methods to enhance government coordination and capacity building, ensuring that innovative technologies and AI solutions are integrated effectively into public service operations.
The UAE and Belarus also discussed potential joint initiatives in institutional performance, digital legislation, and the simplification of government procedures. By sharing expertise and best practices, the two countries aim to strengthen their cooperation and contribute to efficient, future-ready governance.
The visit underscores the UAE Government’s commitment to leading digital transformation globally and supporting international partners through knowledge sharing. Through these collaborations, both nations aim to enhance public services, accelerate innovation, and create solutions that benefit citizens and residents alike.
The Belarusian delegation’s visit reflects the growing role of global cooperation in shaping effective, technology-driven government services and highlights the UAE’s position as a model for innovative governance.
