The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will join the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) by setting up a national pavilion. This big event will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from July 22 to July 27, 2025. The UAE’s participation shows its serious aim to build a strong and advanced national defense industry. The country wants its defense sector to grow with the help of experienced and skilled companies that can compete at the global level.

Tawazun Council to Lead the UAE Pavilion at the Fair

The Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council (Tawazun) will be in charge of organizing the UAE’s national pavilion. Tawazun plays a key role in supporting local industries and making sure they stay strong and competitive in the international market. The Council’s work helps national companies show their abilities and promote the UAE’s defense industry worldwide.

Leading Defense Companies to Join the Pavilion

The UAE pavilion will feature several top national companies working in defense and technology. Among them are the well-known EDGE Group, Calidus, and Capital Events. Capital Events will also highlight its preparations for the future defense exhibitions IDEX and NAVDEX 2027, which will be held in the UAE. These companies will display their latest products and innovations in defense technology during the fair.

Tawazun Industrial Park to Promote Investment Opportunities

The Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP) will also have a strong presence at IDEF 2025. TIP will showcase its plans for growth and its efforts to create a modern industrial space. The park works as a national center to attract investments in defense industries. It invites companies from around the world that specialize in high-tech manufacturing. This supports the UAE’s vision to become a top industrial center in the region and a key hub for defense and technology industries.

UAE Aims to Build Global Defense Partnerships

His Excellency Matar Ali Al Rumaithi, Head of Defense and Security Industry Affairs at Tawazun, said that the UAE’s participation in IDEF 2025 is part of its plan to build strong industrial partnerships. The goal is to create close cooperation with key defense markets in the region and worldwide. Al Rumaithi said that Türkiye is an important partner for the UAE. Both countries are working together to develop modern defense systems and push for new innovations in defense technology.

Tawazun Supports Growth of National Defense Industries

Al Rumaithi also stressed that Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council continues its mission to support and strengthen UAE’s defense industries. With the support of the country’s leadership, Tawazun aims to increase the global competitiveness of these industries. This includes adopting the latest technologies, forming international partnerships, and investing in the skills of national talent. The Council believes these efforts will help the UAE reach new levels in defense manufacturing and technology.

UAE’s Strategy to Build a Strong Defense Industry (2025-2028)

The UAE’s participation in IDEF 2025 is part of a larger plan called the 2025-2028 Strategic Plan. This strategy focuses on building a complete defense industry system based on industrial empowerment and the use of advanced technology. It also includes attracting and training UAE nationals to work in the defense sector and increasing international cooperation. This strategic plan also supports the country’s efforts for economic diversification, helping the UAE become a global leader in defense and security industries.

UAE Pavilion to Highlight Defense Innovation and Technology

The UAE’s national pavilion at IDEF 2025 will allow the country to show its defense achievements and innovative technologies to the world. IDEF is considered the fourth-largest defense exhibition in the world when it comes to the number of participating companies. The UAE’s goal is to prove its leadership in defense innovation, sovereign technology, and in building a knowledge-based and sustainable economy. The country sees this event as a great chance to show its strengths and attract new partnerships.

UAE Seeks to Lead in Defense, Technology, and Economy

The UAE’s focus on defense industry development is part of its bigger goal of becoming a leader in different fields like technology, innovation, and the economy. The country wants to create a strong knowledge-based economy where industries work with modern technology and skilled people. The defense sector plays a big role in this plan, and by joining big events like IDEF 2025, the UAE moves closer to achieving its vision.

Building Partnerships with Global Defense Markets

By joining IDEF 2025, the UAE hopes to build stronger ties with major defense companies and markets around the world. The UAE plans to work with regional and international partners on advanced defense systems. These partnerships can help exchange knowledge, create new technologies, and open up new business opportunities. The UAE believes that teamwork with other countries is key to growing its defense and security industries.

Supporting Local Talent and National Growth

The UAE’s defense strategy also focuses on developing local talent. The government and Tawazun are working together to invest in training UAE nationals, giving them skills in defense technologies and manufacturing. This not only strengthens the national workforce but also ensures long-term growth for the UAE’s defense industry. By supporting its people, the UAE builds a strong foundation for its defense sector and overall national growth.

UAE Strengthens Its Global Position Through IDEF 2025

The UAE’s decision to participate in IDEF 2025 with a full national pavilion reflects its serious commitment to growing its defense industry and building global partnerships. The country aims to show its abilities in innovation, industrial empowerment, and technology leadership. With the support of Tawazun, the UAE is set to make a strong impact at the fair, promoting its role as a rising leader in the defense sector. The UAE’s efforts not only help its defense industry grow but also support its vision of becoming a global hub for advanced technology and innovation.
