MoU with Al Ain Zoo for Research Projects

UAEU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Ain Zoo to strengthen joint research in areas such as landscape management and veterinary sciences. This partnership aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and aims to promote applied research benefiting both nature and society.

Biodiversity Collaboration with IFHC

A new student research collaboration with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation was launched. UAEU will sponsor five research projects to support biodiversity conservation and the sustainability of natural habitats, demonstrating the university’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Climate Action

UAEU announced the second cycle of the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Climate Action. The program now covers areas like renewable energy, carbon capture, climate-resilient agriculture, water sustainability, and green technologies to strengthen applied climate research.

Desert Environment Research Centre Initiatives

The Desert Environment Research Centre at UAEU announced a strategic partnership with EAD to address desert ecosystem sustainability challenges. Joint panels and discussions, including “Beyond the Dunes,” focused on conservation, restoration, and the future of desert research.

Panels on Sustainability and Green Innovation

UAEU hosted panels such as “Greening the Future,” discussing the role of universities in environmental transformation. Panels emphasized integrating sustainability into curricula, promoting green campuses, and fostering innovation-led climate action.

Innovation and Patents Exhibition

At the Innovation and Patents Exhibition, UAEU showcased patents and applied research innovations. A short film, “From the Wisdom of the Desert to Global Innovation,” highlighted the university’s legacy in climate action and environmental research.

Empowering Youth and Community Engagement

UAEU organized a 3-Minute Student Research Presentation Competition under the Plant the Emirates SDG Research Programme. Students also participated in the Youth Storytelling Session, sharing ideas on heritage, sustainability, and community-driven environmental action.
