US Pledges $150 Million in Earthquake Relief for Venezuela

The US government has declared a swift response, mobilizing a significant $150 million in aid to assist in the aftermath of recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

In light of the tragic earthquakes, the American administration has pledged substantial financial aid, deployed rescue teams, and collaborated with the interim Venezuelan authorities to address the emergency humanitarian needs of the affected populace.

$100 Million Allocated to OCHA, $50 Million for Partners

As stated by the US State Department, the aid package includes a generous $100 million directed to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The remaining $50 million will be allocated through new bilateral agreements to humanitarian organizations actively working in Venezuela.
