Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after facing breathing difficulties. The 89-year-old star was rushed for medical care on Thursday night, which raised concern among fans and the film fraternity. Earlier, it was believed that he was hospitalized for a routine health check-up, but later updates confirmed that he was admitted due to respiratory problems.
Dharmendra is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close observation. Hospital sources have confirmed that his condition is stable and there is no immediate cause for alarm. Doctors are monitoring his vital signs and ensuring he receives the best care possible.
His sons, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, have rearranged their work schedules to remain by their father’s side during his recovery. The Deol family has requested privacy while Dharmendra continues to rest and undergo medical supervision.
Although Dharmendra’s condition is reported as stable, the hospital has not yet announced when he will be discharged. Doctors have advised continued observation for a few days due to his age and recent breathing issues. Fans are relieved to know he is recovering but remain eager for positive news about his return home.
The legendary actor, who turns 90 in December, has faced a few age-related health challenges in recent years. Earlier this year, Dharmendra underwent cataract surgery, after which he recovered quickly and resumed normal activities. Despite his age, he has stayed active on social media, regularly sharing thoughts, old film memories, and cheerful messages with fans.
As news of his hospitalization spread, fans flooded social media with wishes for his quick recovery. Many admirers shared emotional messages and expressed their respect for the veteran actor’s long-standing contribution to Indian cinema. The love and concern shown by his fans demonstrate the deep affection the public holds for him.
Dharmendra was last seen in the film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. His next appearance will be in the upcoming movie Ikkis, where he plays Brigadier ML Khetarpal (Retired), father of war hero Nakshatrapal, portrayed by Agastya Nanda. The film is expected to be an emotional and patriotic drama.
Fans and fellow actors are hopeful that Dharmendra will soon recover and return home safely. His strong spirit and cheerful nature have always inspired many, and supporters across generations continue to send prayers for his health.
