Minor Fire at Al-Jahra Hospital Quickly Controlled, No Injuries

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

On Monday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health confirmed that a small fire started in an electrical room inside a building connected to Al-Jahra Hospital. The fire was very minor, and it was quickly controlled. The most important news is that nobody was hurt. There were no injuries or deaths because of this fire.

Fire Was Controlled Quickly and Safely

The fire happened in an electrical room. This means the fire started from some equipment or wiring that deals with electricity. But thankfully, the fire did not spread to other areas. The hospital’s safety system worked well. The fire was quickly put out before it could cause harm or damage more areas.

Automatic Safety System Helped

When the fire started, the safety system inside the hospital building turned on immediately. The system included automatic fire sprinklers. These sprinklers started spraying water without anyone needing to press a button. This helped stop the fire from growing bigger. The quick action of the system helped avoid a dangerous situation.

Emergency Plan Was Activated

Along with the automatic sprinklers, the hospital also followed its emergency plan. As soon as the fire was noticed, the hospital staff began moving nearby patients away from the area. They did this to make sure everyone was safe, even if the fire got worse. The evacuation was just a precaution, which means it was done to be extra safe, even though the fire was small.

No One Was Hurt in the Incident

The Ministry of Health made it very clear that nobody was injured in this fire. The fire did not affect any patients or staff members. Because of the fast and organized response, everyone stayed safe, and no one had to go to another hospital or receive special medical care because of the fire.

Firefighters and Police Responded Quickly

The Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) quickly reached the scene and began working to stop the fire. They were supported by the Ministry of Interior and hospital staff. All the groups worked together in a fast and professional way to handle the situation. Thanks to their hard work, the fire was under control very quickly, and there was no panic.

Teamwork Was Strong and Effective

The Ministry of Health praised all the teams that helped during the fire incident. They said the firefighters, police officers, hospital staff, and other emergency responders worked together very well. Everyone followed the safety rules, and they worked like a strong team. Their quick thinking and careful actions helped protect patients and staff.

Public Reassured About Hospital Safety

After the fire, the Ministry of Health wanted to make sure the public knew that everything was under control. They said the hospital is still safe and continues to provide care for patients. The ministry also said that safety measures in place worked well and showed how ready the hospital is to handle emergencies.

Safety Measures Will Be Reviewed

Even though the fire was small, the health ministry said they will still look into what caused it. They want to make sure that nothing like this happens again. They will check all electrical systems and safety equipment in the hospital buildings. This kind of review is important to keep hospitals safe in the future.

Hospital Services Continue as Usual

After the fire was controlled and the building was checked, services in Al-Jahra Hospital continued as usual. Patients who were moved for safety reasons returned to their rooms or were relocated to other safe areas. The hospital is now operating normally and is open for patients.

Importance of Emergency Planning

This incident showed the importance of having a good emergency plan. Because the hospital staff knew what to do, they were able to act quickly and calmly. The emergency plan helped save time, protect patients, and avoid damage. Every hospital needs to be prepared like this in case of any sudden event.

Community Thanks First Responders

People in Kuwait have thanked the first responders and hospital workers who acted so quickly during the fire. Many people shared their appreciation for the fire force, the Ministry of Interior, and the medical teams who helped protect lives. This support shows how much people value safety and quick action in a crisis.

Fire Did Not Affect Main Hospital Services

Even though the fire happened in a building connected to the hospital, the main hospital was not affected. The small fire was only in an electrical room in a separate building. This helped make sure that important services, like emergency care and surgeries, were not delayed or stopped.

Ministry Promises to Improve Safety Further

The Ministry of Health also promised that they will continue improving safety systems in hospitals. They want to add new technologies and train staff better so that all hospitals in Kuwait can handle any emergency. This promise helps people feel safe when visiting government health centers.

The Ministry of Health said the incident was handled well and that it shows how effective safety planning can be. They thanked all the teams again and promised to take further steps to make hospitals even safer for patients and staff in the future.
