In Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, a docked cruise ship dangerously tilted to its starboard side as a result of high tides induced by Typhoon Bavi.
Footage shared by onlookers on July 14 and July 15 captured the alarming scene as bystanders quickly retreated while the vessel leaned heavily at the dock.
Originally transformed from a cruise ship into a luxury floating hotel, the vessel had been inactive and docked for approximately 14 years prior to this event.
Even though it had ceased passenger services, the ship remained moored in Wenzhou, where it experienced a dramatic tilt due to elevated water levels.
The operator attributed the incident to exceptionally high tides, suggesting links to Typhoon Bavi, which struck eastern China the week before.
There have been no reports detailing injuries or damage to the vessel.
