The 10th edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival is currently happening, and it is full of exciting photo opportunities for visitors. This year’s theme is “A Decade of Visual Storytelling,” and the festival is designed to make visitors not just watch but take part in the experience. There are many interactive setups that let people step into the pictures and create their own stories through photography.
Here are five special spots at the festival where visitors can take amazing photos for their Instagram or personal collection during the last three days of Xposure 2026:
Cherry Blossoms in the Desert
If you wish to see Japan’s famous cherry blossoms but can’t visit Kyoto this spring, the Nikon booth at the festival brings a beautiful Japanese scene right to Sharjah. You will find blooming cherry blossom trees, traditional Japanese furniture, and even costumes like kimonos and samurai outfits that you can wear for your pictures. Visitors can also try out Nikon’s new ZR camera to capture high-quality photos and videos. Don’t forget to bring an SD card to save your pictures! The soft pink flowers combined with the traditional Japanese setting make for very attractive photos that are popular on social media.
Anti-Gravity Illusion Room
At the Fujifilm booth, there is an amazing anti-gravity room that creates a mind-blowing illusion. The entire room is flipped upside down, including furniture and decorations. When you pose inside this room, your photo will look like you are floating or defying gravity. This creates a unique and surprising image that will catch anyone’s attention and make them look twice.
Retro Portrait Studio
This spot brings back memories of old photography studios from the past. It features a brick wall background and shelves with old framed photos, similar to studios where families once had their portraits taken. Visitors can take natural, candid pictures as if they are walking past an old city studio. The warm colors and textures create a nostalgic and cozy feeling in the photos.
Step Into the Ocean
The festival also includes displays about oceans and water life. Here, visitors can stand between the head and tail of a giant model of a blue whale, making it look like they are riding the biggest sea animal. There are also LED screens and round “windows” showing underwater scenes with coral reefs and fish, adding a realistic ocean experience to your photos.
Colorful Walls for Vibrant Photos
Throughout the festival area, there are many brightly colored walls in different shades like jewel tones, pastels, and strong primary colors. These walls offer simple but beautiful backgrounds for photos, whether you want a clean and minimal look or a bold and bright style.
All these spots are not just for taking pictures but are part of the festival’s goal to help visitors slow down and enjoy the art of storytelling through images. Xposure 2026 wants everyone to become creators, not just viewers. So, bring your camera, your excitement, and get ready to make some unforgettable memories!
