Vietnam has officially inaugurated the Yen Binh Concentrated Digital Technology Park in Thai Nguyen Province, with Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung leading the groundbreaking ceremony. This initiative aims to establish a significant hub for digital technology and innovation, contributing to the country's broader digital transformation strategy.

Investment to Propel Digital Economy

Spanning almost 200 hectares, the technology park boasts investments surpassing 3,500 billion VND. Its strategic location near the Hanoi–Thai Nguyen Expressway, about 45 kilometers from Noi Bai International Airport, positions it to connect vital industrial and technological centers throughout northern Vietnam.

Emphasis on High-Tech Sectors

The Yen Binh Digital Technology Park will target five major sectors: software and AI, digital graphics, industrial automation and robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, and IoT devices and semiconductor technology. It is also envisioned as a national center for research, innovation, and digital technology training.

Understanding the Yen Binh Digital Technology Park

This expansive project in Vietnam is designed to facilitate digital transformation, attract tech firms, foster innovation, and enhance research and workforce development, positioning itself as a premier digital technology ecosystem in the nation.

Government Initiatives for Digital Growth

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the project aligns with Vietnam's target of elevating the digital economy's contribution to 30% of the GDP by 2030. He highlighted the crucial role that concentrated digital technology zones will have in enhancing national competitiveness and reinforcing Vietnam's status in global technology supply chains.

Boosting Digital Infrastructure

As part of its national digital transformation agenda, Vietnam is continuously investing in digital infrastructure, innovation centers, and high-tech industrial zones. The Yen Binh project is poised to attract both domestic and international technology firms while generating thousands of skilled jobs and reinforcing Vietnam's technology ecosystem.

Thai Nguyen: A Rising Technology Hub

Officials have noted Thai Nguyen's strategic advantages, including an improving transport network and esteemed educational institutions that cultivate highly skilled labor. The province stands out as a leading center for technological talent and digital industry growth in Vietnam.

Innovation on the Horizon

Construction of the park is set to proceed until 2028, with expectations of attracting over 100 domestic and international technology firms. Authorities anticipate that the project will foster innovation, create quality job opportunities, and significantly advance Vietnam's economic modernization.
