Zayed University celebrated its Class of 2025 graduation with a special ceremony featuring H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The event recognized the accomplishments of 2,088 students from both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses. The celebrations spanned over three days, from November 18th to 20th, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Joining Sheikh Saif were Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, alongside Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs. The ceremony attracted members of the Board, distinguished guests, and proud families, marking a significant occasion for the graduates.
This graduation represented the 24th cohort of female students and the 14th cohort of male students. The graduates hailed from all eight Zayed University colleges, including Business, Communication and Media Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Technological Innovation, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural and Health Sciences, and Arts and Creative Enterprises, with postgraduate programs also featured.
Among the 2,088 graduates, there were 1,732 females, 310 males, and 46 postgraduate students. The university also highlighted 317 honors students, constituting 15 percent of the graduating class, acknowledged for their outstanding academic performance.
Sheikh Saif congratulated all graduates, expressing pride in their achievements. He urged them to leverage their knowledge and skills for the UAE's continued progress, addressing them as his “sons” and expressing confidence in their potential to contribute to the nation’s future.
He emphasized that the UAE thrives on ambitious, responsible youth who are dedicated to realizing the leadership’s vision and contributing to a brighter tomorrow.
Shamma Al Mazrui congratulated the graduates and their families, noting that graduation signifies the start of a new chapter filled with possibilities and responsibilities. She described the Class of 2025 as capable and thoughtful learners who have not only acquired academic knowledge but also deep values and decision-making skills.
She highlighted that true success is defined by the positive impact individuals can create through honesty, dedication, and service to their country. She encouraged graduates to uphold qualities like integrity, humility, loyalty, and courage, emphasizing that these attributes will steer their careers.
Shamma Al Mazrui expressed gratitude towards parents, acknowledging their pivotal role in the students' successes as a “hidden curriculum” beyond classroom teachings.
Dr. Kevin Hall, President and CEO of Zayed University, delivered an inspiring message, thanking the graduates for their anticipated contributions to a better world and expressing pride on behalf of the university and the nation.
The ceremony underscored Zayed University’s dedication to shaping future leaders who will align with the UAE’s developmental aspirations, in line with the UAE Centennial 2071 vision aimed at crafting an innovative and progressive nation.
Zayed University extends its congratulations to the Class of 2025, confident these graduates will make a significant impact in the UAE and beyond.
