AD Ports Group has achieved a remarkable third-quarter performance, recording a 16 percent year-on-year revenue increase, reaching AED5.39 billion. This growth is attributed to strong developments in its Maritime & Shipping, Ports, and Economic Cities & Free Zones divisions.
The company experienced a net profit surge of 34 percent, amounting to AED596 million, marking its highest quarterly profit since becoming a public entity in February 2022. A significant contribution to this profit was a tax reversal related to the UAE corporate tax filings for 2024.
Although EBITDA remained consistent at AED1.20 billion, reflecting a 22.3 percent margin, operating profitability experienced slight pressure due to restructuring in its previous Digital cluster. Profit before tax grew by 17 percent to AED595 million, supported by an 18 percent decrease in finance costs and the reversal of an earlier impairment charge.
During the quarter, AD Ports also registered notable operational improvements, such as increased container throughput, higher general cargo volumes, expanded industrial land leases, and a rise in container feeder shipping activities. These advancements highlight the company’s capacity to adapt to regional challenges and global trade fluctuations while achieving sustainable growth.
The performance of AD Ports signifies its strategic emphasis on “intelligent internationalisation,” focusing on leadership within fast-evolving trade corridors while promoting sustainable logistics solutions. This approach underscores the company’s commitment to bolstering economic progress in Abu Dhabi and sustaining resilience amidst global uncertainties.
