The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has invited students across Abu Dhabi to take part in the “Frontliners Tribute Initiative,” a program aimed at honoring frontline heroes who support and protect the community.
The initiative is part of the National Art Expressions Program and aligns with the UAE’s National Resilience campaign. It encourages students from all grade levels and backgrounds to express their gratitude through creative forms such as art, writing, music, and innovative projects.
ADEK stated that the initiative goes beyond a typical school activity. It serves as a platform for students to show appreciation for frontline workers, including healthcare professionals, educators, and uniformed personnel, who contribute to the safety and wellbeing of society.
Students are free to participate in their own unique way, whether by creating poems, paintings, songs, or other creative works. The initiative is non-competitive, ensuring that every student’s contribution is valued equally.
As part of the program, ADEK will launch a Digital Gallery in June 2026 to showcase selected student submissions. This online platform will serve as a lasting collection of creative expressions reflecting gratitude and unity across the UAE. Some outstanding works may also be displayed in public spaces.
Submissions for the initiative will open on 27 April and close on 11 May 2026. Schools will receive detailed guidelines and participation instructions through official channels.
ADEK has encouraged schools and families to support students in taking part, helping build a shared national expression of appreciation for frontline heroes through creativity.
