Asian Football Confederation President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has spoken highly of Qatar for successfully hosting the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, saying the tournament was organised according to the highest international standards. He said Qatar showed excellent planning, discipline, and professionalism throughout the competition. The smooth running of matches, modern stadiums, and strong logistical arrangements helped deliver a world-class football event that impressed teams, officials, and fans alike.

Sheikh Salman said Qatar’s advanced sports infrastructure and experience in hosting major tournaments played a key role in the success of the Arab Cup. He added that every technical and operational detail was handled carefully, ensuring players and spectators enjoyed a safe and high-quality football experience. According to him, the tournament further strengthened Qatar’s reputation as one of the world’s leading hosts of global sporting events.

The AFC President also highlighted the strong cooperation between FIFA, continental football bodies, and national associations. He said this teamwork helped raise the overall standard of the competition. He explained that regional tournaments like the Arab Cup are very important because they help teams gain experience, improve competitiveness, develop new football talent, and promote values such as respect and sportsmanship among players and supporters.

Sheikh Salman congratulated Morocco on winning the championship after their exciting 3-2 victory over Jordan in the final. He described Morocco’s achievement as a result of their high technical level, strong teamwork, and consistent performances throughout the tournament. He said the victory reflects the positive growth and strong international standing of Moroccan football in recent years.

He also praised Jordan for finishing second in the tournament, saying their performances showed clear improvement and determination. Sheikh Salman noted that Jordanian football is moving in the right direction, with growing ambitions at both regional and international levels. He added that reaching the final was a proud moment for Jordan and a sign of their steady progress in the football world.
