Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Business Groups of the Education Sector at the Ajman Chamber have underscored the critical necessity of enhancing educators’ capabilities through training in cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and digital educational tools. This initiative aims to align with the rapidly evolving educational landscape and improve overall teaching outcomes.

This initiative was revealed during a collaborative meeting held at the Ajman Chamber’s headquarters, chaired by Dr. Kareem Al Saghir, Chairman of the Education Sector Business Groups and Director of Ajman University. The meeting saw participation from key officials, including Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, along with prominent representatives from the educational field.

Discussions were centered on enhancing the educational environment and fostering cooperation between educational institutions and universities. Officials noted the necessity of sharing knowledge, refining teacher licensing processes, and embedding AI and future-oriented skills into the educational framework.

Dr. Kareem Al Saghir emphasized the vital role of the Education Sector Business Groups in enhancing educational quality and aligning it with job market requirements. He remarked that education is a central focus of Ajman Vision 2030, as it is crucial for sustainable development and the establishment of a knowledge-driven economy.

Participants underscored the significance of ongoing teacher training in advanced technologies like AI and robotics, noting that the adoption of contemporary teaching strategies can boost efficiency and stimulate creativity in classrooms.

The meeting also addressed refining teacher licensing regulations and attracting adept educators through collaboration with relevant authorities. Ajman’s expanding roster of esteemed schools and universities was recognized as a competitive advantage for the educational sector.

Officials highlighted the role of educational institutions in equipping students for higher education, suggesting the organization of workshops and advisory sessions to assist students in selecting suitable career paths based on their skills and employment market trends.

Concluding the meeting, participants proposed the establishment of a joint task force to identify challenges within the educational sector and formulate actionable solutions. They also agreed to convene regularly to monitor progress and ensure the effective implementation of new initiatives.
