Under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, the council held a key meeting to discuss major development issues. The session approved Ajman’s new government media policy and the first package of outcome indicators for Ajman Vision 2030.
Approval of Unified Media Policy
The newly approved government media policy aims to create a unified and professional communication framework across all government entities. Sheikh Ammar emphasized that the media plays a crucial role not just in sharing news but also in raising awareness, promoting achievements, and reflecting Ajman’s values and progress. The policy is designed to strengthen transparency, ensure consistent messaging, and enhance media readiness at both local and international levels.
Strengthening Ajman’s Global Image
During the meeting, a detailed presentation from the Ajman Government Media Office outlined the emirate’s progress in the media sector. It highlighted the development of a unified media identity that promotes Ajman’s image as a modern and thriving city. The policy also aligns with the UAE’s goal of creating an innovative and credible government media model that engages citizens effectively.
Vision 2030 Performance Indicators
The council approved 13 performance indicators to track Ajman Vision 2030’s progress. These include eight indicators for business growth, two for human capital development, one for quality of life, and two for culture and arts. Sheikh Ammar noted that these measures would help assess real progress and ensure that policies have a meaningful impact on people’s lives and government performance.
New Laws for Real Estate and Tourism
The council also endorsed the implementation of Law No. (1) of 2025 to regulate real estate contributions. This step aims to enhance market transparency, protect investors, and support sustainable development. In addition, it approved the implementation plan for the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media to strengthen Ajman’s position as a leading cultural and tourism destination.
Focus on Education and Governance
The meeting also reviewed plans to license and accredit higher education institutions in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education. The council approved Ajman’s final 2024 financial accounts, highlighting continued commitment to transparency, fiscal discipline, and sound governance.
