Al Ahli Win Over Al Khor in Qatar Basketball League Round 9

In the Qatar Basketball League for the 2025–2026 season, Al Ahli secured a strong 118-94 victory over Al Khor on Monday in the ninth round of matches. Al Ahli controlled most of the game, especially in the second quarter, which helped them take a clear lead. The quarter scores were close in the first period, but Al Ahli pulled away as the match progressed.

Al Khor’s player Jesse Jones Jr. was the top scorer of the game with 37 points, showing a strong individual performance despite his team’s loss. For Al Ahli, Nigel Armoni Johnson led the scoring with 26 points and played a key role in the win. This victory moved Al Ahli to sixth place in the league standings with 10 points, while Al Khor stayed in ninth place with 8 points.

In another match played in the same round, Qatar SC defeated Al Gharafa with a final score of 111-99. Qatar SC showed good teamwork and strong scoring in the first half, which helped them maintain control until the end of the game.

Joshua Morris Nicholas was the standout player for Qatar SC, scoring 33 points to lead his team to victory. On the other side, Rashad Allen Williams scored 29 points for Al Gharafa in a competitive effort. After this result, Qatar SC moved up to eighth place with 9 points, while Al Gharafa reached 10 points and sits in seventh place.

The ninth round of the Qatar Basketball League will conclude on Saturday. Al Wakrah will face Al Arabi, and Al Sadd will play against Al Rayyan, while Al Shamal will not play this round.
