Al Reem Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, visited the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka on Monday. The visit was part of an official delegation to Japan, following directives from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.

Warm Welcome from UAE Officials

Al Falasi was warmly received by Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner-General of the UAE Pavilion, along with Mariam Al Memari, Head of the UAE Expo Office, and other senior officials. The delegation was guided through the Pavilion to learn about its design, exhibits, and key initiatives.

Interaction with Youth Ambassadors

During the visit, Al Falasi met young Emiratis serving as youth ambassadors at the Pavilion. These ambassadors welcomed visitors and shared insights about the UAE’s heritage, traditions, and achievements over the past fifty years. Their engagement demonstrated the role of youth in promoting national culture globally.

Meeting to Discuss Pavilion Impact

Following the tour, Al Falasi held discussions with Ambassador Al Faheem, Al Memari, and other officials. They focused on the significance of the UAE’s participation, the Pavilion’s diverse programming, and its strong visitor turnout. The meeting also highlighted the Pavilion’s role in strengthening bilateral ties between the UAE and Japan.

Promoting Child and Youth Empowerment

Al Falasi emphasized that the council’s visit, which included members of the Emirati Children’s Parliament, reflects the leadership’s vision to empower children and youth. She highlighted Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s commitment to strategies that create a supportive environment for a prosperous future.

Pavilion Highlights Motherhood and Childhood

The UAE Pavilion provides visitors with an inspiring experience focused on key issues like motherhood and childhood. Al Falasi noted that the exhibits demonstrate national efforts to support mothers and children, while promoting investment in the next generation as a core pillar of sustainable development.

Strengthening UAE-Japan Relations

The Secretary-General stressed that the Pavilion acts as a bridge for enhancing UAE-Japan cooperation across multiple sectors. The visit highlighted the decades-long strategic partnership based on shared goals for sustainable development and improving human well-being.

Showcasing UAE’s Global Reputation

Al Falasi concluded that the UAE’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka reflects the nation’s cultural diplomacy and global standing.
