Al Rayyan continued their strong performance in the 37th Arab Clubs Basketball Championship held in the UAE by securing their third consecutive victory in the group stage. In their final Group D match, Al Rayyan defeated Oman's Al Bashair with a score of 88-79.

Match Breakdown

The game consisted of four quarters ending in scores of 25-10, 23-8, 22-34, and 18-27 in favor of Al Rayyan. The team maintained dominance in the first half, allowing Al Bashair to make some progress in the later stages, but the lead was never lost.

Group D Standings

With this victory, Al Rayyan solidified its top position in Group D. Al Bashair, on the other hand, suffered their third loss and finished in fourth place. Lebanon’s Al Hikma secured second place, while Syria’s Al Wahda claimed third in the group standings.

Al Arabi Secures Group C Lead

In Group C, Al Arabi also celebrated their third consecutive win by defeating Kuwait's Kazma 88-75 in the final round. The four quarters ended with scores of 20-16, 21-19, 26-23, and 21-17 in favor of Al Arabi, showcasing consistent performance throughout the match.

Group C Rankings

This victory allowed Al Arabi to top Group C. Kazma experienced their first loss but finished second in the group, ahead of Oman's Al Seeb and Yemen’s Al Mina'a, who took third and fourth places respectively.

Road to Knockout Stage

The Arab Clubs Basketball Championship features a format of four groups. Teams proceed to the knockout stage based on their group rankings. Al Rayyan, as the leader of Group D, will face Al Mina'a from Yemen, the fourth-placed team in Group C. Meanwhile, Al Arabi, top of Group C, will meet Al Bashair from Oman, who finished fourth in Group D.

The third consecutive victories for Al Rayyan and Al Arabi are crucial in boosting team morale and confidence ahead of the knockout stage. Leading their groups not only secures favorable matchups but also reflects the teams’ strong preparation and strategic gameplay in the tournament.
