Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the Supreme Organising Committee announced the 10th edition of the Al Salam Cycling Championship. Organised by The Private Office of H.H. the Ruler of Dubai, the championship is recognised as the world’s largest community cycling race in terms of diversity and prize value.

Committee Meeting and Leadership

The announcement was made during a meeting of the Supreme Organising Committee, chaired by Omair bin Juma Al Falasi, Director-General of The Private Office of H.H. the Ruler of Dubai. Theme and Legacy

The 10th edition will be held under the slogan “Ten Years of Achievements and Success”. Over the past decade, the championship has become a major community event, highlighting Dubai’s cultural and natural landmarks while promoting sports as a healthy lifestyle. The championship celebrates diversity, sports participation, and the empowerment of women.

Scheduled Races and Locations

Four main races have been approved for the upcoming edition: the UAE Nationals Amateur Race on 28th December 2025, the Elite Race on 18th January 2026, the Women’s Race on 25th January 2026, and the Desert Race on 1st February 2026. All race routes will take place within the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, the UAE’s largest nature reserve, offering scenic and challenging tracks for participants.

Focus on Health and Community

Omair bin Juma Al Falasi expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his continuous support, which has driven the championship’s success. He noted that the championship aims not only to foster competition but also to inspire society to embrace sports as a lifestyle that encourages health, vitality, and happiness.

Women’s Empowerment Through Sports

The championship has grown beyond a sporting event to become a platform for women’s empowerment. Dedicated women’s races are a central feature, highlighting the vital role of women in society and encouraging greater participation in sports. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader goals of equality and community development.

Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations

The championship collaborates with major national institutions, including The Ruler’s Court of Dubai and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre. Past editions included special races during Expo 2020 Dubai and collaborations with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, which promoted sports photography and showcased Dubai’s landscapes.

Media and Community Engagement

The 10th edition promises exciting new experiences for both participants and spectators. The event enjoys wide media coverage through television, social media, and digital platforms, ensuring extensive community engagement. Strategic partners such as Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, RTA, Dubai Sports Council, UAE Cycling Federation, and Dubai Film contribute to its success.

Celebrating a Decade of Achievements

As the Al Salam Cycling Championship celebrates its 10th anniversary, it continues to promote healthy lifestyles, community participation, and women’s empowerment. The event remains a key platform showcasing Dubai’s commitment to sports, culture, and vibrant community engagement.
