The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) is participating in the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair, running from 19th to 29th November 2025. Organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds, ALC's involvement underscores its commitment to advancing the Arabic language, literature, and scientific research.
At its exhibit, ALC will showcase 550+ publications, including 90 brand new titles. These works stem from major initiatives such as the Kalima Project for Translation, the Esdarat publishing project, and the Basaer (Insights) research series, each contributing to various fields of knowledge and enriching Arabic scholarship.
The Kalima Project for Translation aims to rejuvenate the translation movement within the Arab world, bringing global literary works to Arabic readers while fostering cultural dialogue. This effort facilitates educational growth and the dissemination of important knowledge.
The Esdarat Project for Arabic Publishing supports writers in literature, history, and cultural research by providing mentorship and resources for publishing in Arabic, ensuring quality works reach both local and international audiences.
The Basaer Series features a collection of research papers acquired through ALC’s Research Grants Programme, designed to elevate scientific research in Arabic and related disciplines, thereby broadening the academic landscape.
ALC’s participation in this book fair serves to expand its influence, reinforcing the global presence of the Arabic language and facilitating cultural exchange with diverse communities. It emphasizes the Arabic language's vital role in education and dialogue.
Engaging with major cultural events highlights ALC's dedication to collaboration with educational institutions and other cultural entities. The fair provides a significant platform for dialogue and networking with authors, scholars, and organizations from across the globe.
Visitors to ALC’s pavilion will find intriguing insights into Arabic literature and ongoing initiatives promoting the growth of the Arabic language, providing a vital opportunity for readers and authors alike.
Through its active involvement in the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair, the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre reaffirms its mission to promote Arabic literature, language, and research. Its engagement is focused on enhancing the quality of Arabic publications and nurturing cultural exchanges while empowering emerging writers and researchers.
