Post by : Bianca Haleem

Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, presented his vision for the coming period and outlined the key priorities for the General Secretariat as part of efforts to strengthen its performance and enhance the joint Arab action system.

The proposals were discussed during a meeting with the permanent representatives of the Arab League held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo on Sunday.

Among those attending the meeting was Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States.

Collective Responsibility for Reform

During his address, Fahmy stressed that improving the Arab League and strengthening its strategic role is a shared responsibility. He said success depends on full cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Arab League and all member states.

He emphasized that the priority should be adopting a practical approach focused on identifying clear priorities, implementing realistic and achievable steps, and continuously monitoring the results of those efforts.

Priorities Shared With Arab Foreign Ministers
