Arab Parliament Denounces Iranian Aggression Against the UAE

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, has emphatically condemned the missile and drone strikes by Iran targeting the United Arab Emirates, branding them as “terroristic and hostile acts” that jeopardize peace and stability in the region.

In a statement released on Saturday, Al Yamahi characterized the attacks as a serious escalation and a blatant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness. He cautioned that such aggressive actions directly threaten Arab national security, inflating tensions across the area.

Al Yamahi remarked that Iran’s persistent attacks represent a confrontational stance designed to incite instability and threaten the region’s security. He underscored that these actions put both regional and global peace at risk.

The Speaker affirmed the Arab Parliament's unflinching support for the UAE in all measures required to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He reiterated that the safety of the UAE is a fundamental component of collective Arab national security.

He called upon the international community and the United Nations Security Council to act swiftly and decisively in response to these attacks. He urged world leaders to take a firm stand to halt ongoing Iranian violations and ensure the safety and stability of Arab nations.

The statement reinforced the Arab Parliament’s solidarity with the UAE, emphasizing ongoing support for initiatives that protect citizens, residents, and national infrastructure from security threats.
