Awqaf Abu Dhabi, through its Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority, has partnered with LuLu Group International to develop commercial projects worth AED 100 million on endowed land. The returns from these projects will support long-term care and improve the quality of life for orphans in the UAE.
The agreement was signed by Ashraf Ali M.A., Executive Director of LuLu Group International, and His Excellency Fahd Abdulqader Al Qassim, Director General of Awqaf Abu Dhabi. The ceremony was also attended by Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman of LuLu Group International, His Excellency Abdul Hamid Mohammed Saeed, Chairman of Awqaf Abu Dhabi, and His Excellency Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Secretary-General of Erth Zayed Philanthropies.
This collaboration is part of the Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans initiative, launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Awqaf Abu Dhabi provides the endowed land, while LuLu Group International manages project delivery and operations. All profits generated will support the initiative’s goals and broader social programs of Awqaf Abu Dhabi.
Fahd Abdulqader Al Qassim said, “By combining endowment assets with professional investment and operational expertise, we can create long-term funding for social initiatives. This partnership ensures asset preservation, consistent returns, and maximum social impact for future generations.”
Yusuff Ali Musallam added, “The private sector plays a key role in supporting national priorities through responsible, impact-driven investment. Our focus is to deliver sustainable returns that benefit the community.”
This partnership highlights Awqaf Abu Dhabi’s modern approach to endowment management, focusing on transparency, asset preservation, and measurable financial and social outcomes. Projects will be evaluated with clear performance metrics to meet both fiduciary and community needs.
